Despite such a difficult start in life, she maintained a strong will and overcame many medical difficulties. She grew to be the most gentle and loving companion we´ve ever known. Lucy was an ´old soul´ who lived with grace and dignity, and she taught us to cherish everyone and every moment. Most importantly, she taught us to never miss an opportunity to roll around in the grass on a sunny day.
Lucy died peacefully at home on September 2, 2011 surrounded by her family. At the end, the spirit was willing but the body was weak. She leaves behind her humans Molly and Tim, two fur brothers, Duffy and Seamus and countless family and friends who shared in her life.
She was a faithful friend who was always there with a cuddle or a woof. She will be deeply missed. Good bye sweet girl. We love you.
