Our beloved Yellow Labrador Retriever, Ajax passed away on January 3, 2021. He was with us for 10.5 years. Through our pet sitter/walker service, Joy Cares recommendation of DeJohn Pet Services, we called immediately that Sunday morning. Sherri promptly called us back and made arrangements to meet us. We drove to Willoughby from Old Brooklyn with him.

 

Sherri met us with a blanket covered bassinet on a gurney. Ajax was a big boy weighing 100+ lbs. We carefully placed him in the bassinet and assisted Sherri in wheeling him in. We said our goodbye’s and kissed our loved boy. We did the gold package of services which entailed private cremation (vs mass cremation vets and other services offer), River Stone, paw prints, velvet pouch, Urn with picture and plaque with our script.

 

In addition, she clipped some of his beautiful white fur and bagged it for us as well as made Angel wings our of his fur and tied a beautiful bow.

 

I was totally unaware of these type of services until referred by Joy Cares, but what a Godsend Sherri and DeJohn are. The patience, understanding and genuine caring Sherri demonstrates has soothed our grieving. We know that we sent our beloved Ajax onward with the utmost care, dignity and love that can be bestowed upon him.
