Erin Vick & Joan Kavanagh

We had our first experience with DeJohn Pet Services when our beloved Irish Wolfhound, Lucy was coming to the end of her life after a good long 10 years. Because of her 175lb size and difficulty transporting her to the vet, we sought alternatives to her “end of life” that led us to DeJohn. Sherri DiPietro, at DeJohn, is passionate about honoring these special members of our family in their passing. She is a true treasure in her work. She shed a bright light on how our pets should be honored after all they bring to our lives while they are living. Instead of putting our ailing dog in the car to go to the vet where she would have felt trepidation and stress, we stayed at home where Lucy felt the most comfortable, safe and loved. Instead of having to wipe our tears prematurely and walk out of our veterinarian’s office while other happy puppies are awaiting their vaccinations… we had all the time we needed to say goodbye. Sherri and DeJohn Pet Services provided us, and Lucy that luxury. After her passing, Lucy was taken care of as we would want and wish for anyone in our family to be cared for in death. With honor, dignity and respect. Sherri was focused on each and every detail to make that possible all while going above and beyond in ways we could never have imagined. We had never considered alternatives despite the inevitable experience of seeing very emotional people leaving the veterinarians office without the pet the had taken in. It never dawned on us how much differently these sweet animals could and should be honored. We highly recommend using DeJohn Pet Services. We all love our veterinarians and all they do to maintain the health and well being of our pets throughout their lifetime but pre-planning and taking steps to honor our beloved pets as their lives come to a close is equally important. DeJohn Pet Services makes this possible. We cannot say enough about their services and especially Sherri DiPietro.
